Port Olímpic Clubs: Opium, Shôko, CDLC and Ku on Barcelona's Seafront

· Updated:

The Port Olímpic seafront has four nightclubs in a row on the Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta: CDLC (number 32), Opium (34), Shôko (36) and Ku, whose website gives number 38. All four open every night of the week, play mostly commercial music and draw an international crowd.

They are clubs with terraces on the sand, not seasonal beach clubs, so they stay open in winter. This guide covers what each one plays, the nights, the door policy and how to get back, using what each club publishes and its ticket listings, checked on 21 October 2026.

CDLC: dinner first, club later

CDLC (Carpe Diem Lounge Club) is a restaurant on the sand that turns into a club as the night goes on. Its own hours: Sunday to Wednesday from noon to 02:00, Thursday until 05:00, Friday and Saturday until 06:00, with the kitchen open until 01:00. The music is deep house, tech house and R&B, and the way in is usually a table booking for dinner.

Opium: every night, smart dress

Opium opens every day, usually from 23:30 to 05:00, until 06:00 on Fridays, with an earlier Sunday night called Off Duty (22:30 to 04:00). Each night has its own name: Monday Madness, Full Party on Wednesdays, Jet Lag on Thursdays, Addicted on Fridays and Just Opium on Saturdays. It plays commercial house, EDM and urban music, is 18+ and lists its dress code as elegant. Entry started at €15 in October 2026, and it was among the clubs nominated for The World's 100 Best Clubs 2026.

Shôko: the urban one

Shôko has been on the seafront since 2004 and describes itself as a restaurant and lounge club, open every day. Its club side leans towards reggaeton, hip-hop, trap and R&B, with Fucking Monday on Mondays and Pure Shôko on Saturdays. Time Out puts the club's capacity at up to 500 people. It sells its own tickets online and VIP tables by WhatsApp; tickets started at €15 to €25 in October 2026, 18+.

Ku: seven nights a week

Ku replaced Pacha Barcelona in the same venue in September 2025, according to Time Out and Qué!, and says it opens Monday to Sunday, from 23:45 to 05:00 (05:45 on Fridays). The week has a party for every night: Money Mondays, Badass on Tuesdays, Guaya Project on Wednesdays, BAE on Thursdays, Ku Fridays and Blavicio on Saturdays. Most nights are reggaeton, afrobeats and hip-hop, and some Sundays bring house names such as Lee Foss. It is 18+, listed casual for its Halloween Saturday, and its Halloween entry with a drink cost €20.

NOXE and the W, at the other end

At the far end of the Barceloneta, NOXE occupies the 26th floor of the W Barcelona hotel as a restaurant, cocktail bar and club, with its own dress code FAQ on its website. The same hotel's Wet Deck summer series ran on Sundays from 14 June to 30 August 2026 and is closed for the season. Seasonal beach clubs are a different thing: those are covered in our beach club guide.

What has changed in the Port Olímpic

Barcelona City Council took over the management of the port at the end of 2019 with plans to reduce nightlife there, and Time Out reported that year that the concessions of the seafront clubs would not be renewed. Even so, all four clubs were active in October 2026, and a new restaurant promenade opened on the Moll de Gregal in 2024. Catwalk, on Carrer Ramon Trias Fargas, is listed as closed, and Latin Palace, on the same street, says it is taking a short break.

Door policy and getting home

Dress smarter than you would elsewhere in town: Opium lists elegant dress, so leave sportswear and caps at home. All four are 18+ and ask for ID. To get back, the NitBus N24 runs from the Barceloneta and the W to Plaça de Catalunya and Gràcia, every 20 minutes from 22:30 to 06:00, and on Saturday nights the Metro runs all night.

Frequently asked questions

Which clubs are in the Port Olímpic?

Four, side by side on the Passeig Marítim: CDLC (number 32), Opium (34), Shôko (36) and Ku, whose website gives number 38. NOXE, on the 26th floor of the W hotel, is at the other end of the Barceloneta.

Are the Port Olímpic clubs open every night?

Yes. Opium and Shôko say they open every day, Ku opens Monday to Sunday, and CDLC works as a restaurant every day and stays open as a club until 05:00 on Thursdays and 06:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Do I need to dress up?

Yes, more than in most of the city. Opium lists its dress code as elegant (semi-formal on New Year's Eve), so sportswear and caps are a bad idea. Ku listed casual for its Halloween Saturday. The door has the final word.

What's the minimum age?

18+ at Opium, Shôko and Ku, according to their ticket listings in October 2026. Bring physical ID.

Is Pacha Barcelona still open?

Not under that name. Ku replaced Pacha Barcelona in the same seafront venue in September 2025, according to Time Out and Qué!. Ku opens Monday to Sunday.

Can you walk from one club to another?

Yes. CDLC, Opium and Shôko are at numbers 32, 34 and 36 of the same promenade, with Ku right next to them, so moving between them takes a couple of minutes on foot.
