Sala Taro is a small music venue at Carrer de Rossend Arús 9, in Sants, Barcelona, Spain, in the space where the much-loved Koitton club used to be. It calls itself an “espai pluricultural” and runs gigs and DJ sessions of every kind: from experimental electronic music and punk to classic indie and Latin sounds, according to Time Out. A small venue on the old Koitton site
Sala Taro is the venue that took over the space of the Koitton in Sants. Time Out puts it in its list of Barcelona's best clubs (October 2026) as the small room you find today where the legendary Koitton used to be, with gigs and DJ sessions of every kind. Its Instagram bio describes it as an “espai pluricultural” at Carrer de Rossend Arús 9, and the city council's agenda lists it as a music bar. The line-up is wide on purpose: Time Out mentions experimental electronic music, punk, classic indie and Latin sounds. On 21 October 2026 it had 19,864 followers on Instagram. Its bio tells you where to find every date: “Tots els nostres events”, all its events, are on a ticketing app linked from the bio.
What's on in October 2026
In October 2026 Taro had several dates a week. On Friday 2 October Sara Terraza presented her EP Supernova in concert, the day after playing Madrid. In the week of 13 October it promised a mix of eclectic proposals; in the week of 19 October it welcomed the rain with a full week of plans and a new season starting on Wednesday. Among the DJs it announced were Mr. Funghi, a DJ, producer and curator based in Berlin, known for eclectic, emotional sets, and Laia Biosca, trained in classical piano and DJing since 2022. Programmes change every week and the venue posts each event on its Instagram, so check the night you want before you go. The posts are written in Catalan and describe each artist in detail, so they're the best guide to what a night will sound like.
