Razzmatazz: 25 years and five clubs
Razzmatazz, between Carrer dels Almogàvers 122 and Carrer de Pamplona 88 in Poblenou, is the city's biggest name in this category and its most followed on Instagram. Its website describes it as a club with five rooms on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before holidays, and its bio celebrates '25 years connecting music and the city'. Big international gigs happen early in the evening; from midnight, each room has its own style, and RA's club guide mentions the 'Human' parties on Saturdays. Midweek it also opens for specific nights: on Wednesday 21 October 2026 there was a party from 00:30 with tickets from €13. Wolf, a few blocks away at Almogàvers 88, is another 600 m² concert venue and club.

Sala Apolo and Nitsa on Paral·lel
Sala Apolo, at Carrer Nou de la Rambla 113 in Poble-sec, calls itself the oldest club venue in Spain on its website. It has three rooms and, according to Time Out, its club nights cover trap, reggaeton, electronic, rock and pop. On Fridays and Saturdays from midnight to 06:00 it hosts Nitsa, which describes itself as 'Barcelona's longest-running electronic music club' and runs two rooms, according to RA. Clubs here are 18+ and you need photo ID. Two minutes down the street, at number 145, Sala Plataforma has been open since 1986 with 'Hits-Rock-Remember' from Thursday to Saturday.

Bikini and Luz de Gas: concerts in the uptown
Sala Bikini is under L'Illa Diagonal, at Avinguda Diagonal 547 in Les Corts, and calls itself a club and concert venue: concerts run on their own account, and the club nights go under the NOM brand. Luz de Gas, at Carrer de Muntaner 246, describes itself as the city's most emblematic venue and mixes gigs, company dinners and themed nights from Wednesday to Saturday, plus a Saturday afternoon session.

Jamboree and La Paloma: jazz and a 1903 dance hall
Jamboree, at Plaça Reial 17, calls itself Barcelona's most legendary music club and says it opens 365 days a year: live jazz first, then a club with two rooms, urban, R&B and trap in one and pop and hits in the other, according to Time Out. In October 2026 club entry was listed from €12. La Paloma, at Carrer del Tigre 27 in the Raval, is a dance hall from 1903 that closed in 2007 and reopened in September 2024, as NME and DJ Mag reported; it holds about 1,000 people and mixes concerts, DJs, jazz and salsa. Its October and November 2026 programme included Kelela, dates of the jazz festival and Ibeyi.

Upload, Taro and VOL: the alternative circuit
Upload, inside the Poble Espanyol at Avinguda Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia 13, calls itself a refuge for Barcelona's underground: Time Out lists punk, electronic, garage, rock and reggaeton sessions, and on 31 October 2026 it hosts the Nocturna Festival from 20:00, from €39.30. Sala Taro, at Carrer de Rossend Arús 9 in Sants, took over from Koitton, according to Time Out, and programmes experimental electronic music, punk, indie and Latin. Sala VOL, at Carrer de Sancho de Ávila 78 in Poblenou, is a DIY venue that also hosts talks, with punk, indie and urban music.

Rock: Magic and Lennon's
Magic Rock Club, at Passeig de Picasso 40 by the Born, is a concert venue and club that has been 'rocking since 1972' and calls itself the last rock club left in Barcelona. Across the city limit, Lennon's Club in L'Hospitalet, at Avinguda Fabregada 91, describes itself as an alternative club and concert venue since 1981; Time Out gives Tuesday to Saturday, 19:00 to 05:00, without a date, so take it as a guide. Also in L'Hospitalet, Sala Salamandra mixes concerts with club nights.

Venues that have closed
- Karma (Plaça Reial): its closure was announced on 12 March 2026; it had opened in 1978.
- Sidecar (Plaça Reial): closed before Karma; its old website now belongs to someone else.
- La Deskomunal (Sants): has announced it will close at the end of 2026.
- Club Capitol (La Rambla): closed since 2020; the city is turning it back into a theatre, due in autumn 2027.
Hours and how to get the right ticket
Under Order INT/358/2011, a concert hall can stay open until 04:30 (05:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before holidays), while a club can stay open until 05:00, or 06:00 on those nights; that is why the club session after a gig often has its own door time. Check whether your concert ticket includes the club.
