Macarena Club is a tiny techno and house club at Carrer Nou de Sant Francesc 5, in the Gòtic in Barcelona, Spain. It opens every night of the week and holds about 80 people around a central DJ booth with a Funktion-One sound system, according to the RA guide (August 2026). The club says it has been running since 2001, and in September 2026 it celebrated a quarter of a century. The room itself is older: RA dates it to the 1920s, when it opened as a flamenco tablao.

VIP Tables at Macarena Club
Macarena sells tickets and runs its guest list through an electronic music ticketing site linked from its Instagram. With room for about 80, the list fills fast: message us on WhatsApp with the night and how many you are, and we'll tell you what's possible.
How to Get to Macarena Club
The address is Carrer Nou de Sant Francesc 5, in the Gòtic, in the old town. On Saturday the metro runs all night; on other nights the NitBus runs from 22:30 to 06:00 every 20 minutes, with almost every line going through Plaça de Catalunya.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
Macarena doesn't publish a dress code, a minimum age or a closing time. In Catalonia under-16s can't go into clubs; carry ID.
Eighty people and a booth in the middle
Macarena is about as small as a club gets: around 80 people, with the DJ booth in the centre of the room and a Funktion-One system, as the RA guide to Barcelona (August 2026) describes it. RA also explains where the name comes from: the room dates back to the 1920s, when it opened as a flamenco tablao. Today it's a techno and house club in the Gòtic, at Carrer Nou de Sant Francesc 5, with chunky, rolling grooves and the feeling of being in a basement (its own posts invite you down to “the basement”). Time Out (October 2026) calls it a place of pilgrimage for electronic music lovers. On its Instagram bio it sums itself up as “Music is the key. Barcelona, since 2001”.
Seven nights a week, 25 years in
Macarena opens every night. In October 2026 its Instagram kept repeating the idea: “Seven nights. One club in the core of Barcelona”, and every Monday a roll call asking which night you'd come. On 28 September 2026 it celebrated a quarter of a century (“A quarter century behind us. A thousand nights still unwritten”), which matches the 2001 in its bio; Time Out dates it to 2011, so there's a conflict between sources on the year. In early October it announced a new monthly residency. The line-ups mix local DJs and international guests, and with 24,910 Instagram followers on 21 October 2026 it draws far more people than it can hold. Its Instagram bio links straight to the week's tickets and guest list, and DJ bookings go through the club's own email.
Tickets, guest list and getting there
Macarena sells tickets and runs its guest list through an electronic music ticketing site linked from its Instagram, where it posts the week's schedule. With room for about 80, arriving late on a busy night can mean not getting in, so plan ahead. It doesn't publish a closing time, a dress code or a minimum age; under Catalan rules under-16s can't go into dance clubs, and you should bring ID. For tickets, the list or a night out with friends, message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are and we'll tell you what's possible. The club is at Carrer Nou de Sant Francesc 5, in the Gòtic. On Saturday the metro runs all night; the NitBus runs until 06:00 every night.
