How to Get to Magic Rock Club
Magic is on Passeig de Picasso, at number 40, on the Born side of the Parc de la Ciutadella. On Saturday nights the metro runs all night; on Thursdays and Fridays use the NitBus or a taxi.

Rock since 1972
Magic has been doing one thing for a long time. Its Instagram bio says it all: concert hall and club, giving it some since 1972, the last rock club left in Barcelona. Its website calls it the rock club par excellence in the city and describes its crowd as ageless, which matches the reviews it quotes about a vintage room and a mixed-age dance floor. The October 2026 agenda follows a clear weekly pattern. Thursday is Soul & Grunge Hits, from 23:00 to 05:00, with indie, pop-rock and soul. Friday is Indie Rock Night, from 23:00 to 06:00, with alternative rock, indie and grunge. Saturday mixes glam, grunge and alternative, and the club's posts add blues, country and heavy to the list. If what you want is guitars instead of reggaeton, this is the obvious stop; tell us on WhatsApp which night you're in town.
Free Thursdays, lists and tardeos
Getting into Magic is cheaper than most clubs in the centre. Thursday nights are free all night, according to its website. For Fridays and Saturdays the club runs online guest lists: signing up with your group gives you a discount at the box office, and members of the list can get in after 01:30 without queuing. In October 2026 lists were open for Friday 23 and 30 and the nights of Saturday 24 and 31. Some Saturdays start in the afternoon: on 24 October the Bizarre Love Tarde·O, from 18:00, brought new wave, post-punk, electro, dark disco and italo with live sets before the rock night, and on Halloween, 31 October, a rock tardeo with guests is followed by Magic Halloween with the resident DJ from midnight. Getting there and the door
Magic is at Passeig de Picasso 40, postcode 08003, in Ciutat Vella, on the Born side of the avenue that runs along the Parc de la Ciutadella. It's an easy walk from the bars of the Born, so it works as the last stop of a night in the old town. On Saturday nights the metro runs all night; on Thursdays it closes at midnight and on Fridays at 02:00, after which the NitBus runs every 20 minutes until 06:00. Magic doesn't publish a dress code or a minimum age, and its website talks about a crowd of all ages: leather jacket optional. Catalan rules keep under-16s out of clubs except for live shows with a parent or guardian, so bring ID. Bands who want to play can send proposals to the club, which keeps concerts in its programme alongside the DJ nights.
