Hen and Stag Parties in Barcelona: Clubs, VIP Tables and Group Nights

· Updated:

For a hen or stag night in Barcelona, the safest plan is to book a table at a club that takes group bookings, such as Bling Bling, ShĂ´ko, Otto Zutz, Downtown or Sutton, or to start with dinner at a restaurant-club like CDLC or Gatsby and stay for the party. No club we checked publishes its table minimums or a ban on hen and stag groups, so this guide sticks to what they do publish: nights, ages and how they take bookings, as of 21 October 2026.

Short answer: where to take a group

Zona Alta clubs that take groups

Carrer de Tuset is where most groups end up. Bling Bling, at number 8, opens Wednesday to Saturday, holds about 1,200 people according to Time Out and says in its bio that VIP tables are booked by WhatsApp only; its website also has a page for corporate events. Sutton, at number 13, opens the same nights, takes table requests through the WhatsApp link on its profile and plays house, deep house and reggaeton. Otto Zutz, on Carrer Lincoln, has been open since 1985, has three rooms (hits, reggaeton and house) and is 18+, which helps when the group has different tastes.

Downtown, on Avinguda del Doctor Marañón in Les Corts, calls itself the biggest club in town and has a VIP phone line in its bio; it opens Thursday to Saturday with reggaeton, top hits and commercial house. Colors Club, on La Rambla 33, presents itself as an international club open Tuesday to Saturday, also with a VIP number.

Dinner first, then the club

On the seafront, CDLC (Carpe Diem Lounge Club), at Passeig MarĂtim 32, is a restaurant-club: its kitchen runs from 12:00 to 01:00 and it stays open until 05:00 on Thursdays and 06:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with tables booked on its website. ShĂ´ko, two doors down at number 36, describes itself as a beach restaurant and lounge club, says it opens every day and has a VIP line in its bio. On Carrer de Tuset, Gatsby combines restaurant, live show and club from Wednesday to Saturday ('a place where dinner becomes a show', says its website), and has a separate page for private events. Luz de Gas, on Carrer de Muntaner, also hosts company dinners. For something higher up, NOXE is on the 26th floor of the W Barcelona hotel and calls itself restaurant, cocktail bar and club.

Dress code and the door with a group

No Barcelona club we checked publishes a rule on costumes, sashes or matching T-shirts. What the law says is that each venue sets its admission conditions on a sign stamped by the authorities and posted at the door, and that those conditions cannot discriminate (Decree 112/2010, arts. 50 and 51). In practice, a big group without a booking is the hardest thing to get past a door on a Saturday; a group with a table is a booking. Dress smart unless the venue says otherwise, and keep the costume for dinner if you're unsure. Our dress code guide covers what each club asks for.

Age: check before you book

Catalan law keeps under-16s out of clubs (Decree 112/2010, art. 53), but most clubs set 18+, and some nights go higher: Costa Breve's Friday and Saturday parties are 21+. If anyone in the group is under 18 or just 18, tell us when you book, and bring ID with a photo. More detail in our guide to age rules.

Birthdays and how to book

For a birthday, the same rule applies: no club publishes a policy on cakes, candles or decorations, so it is agreed with the table. Send us on WhatsApp the date, the number of people, the area you prefer (seafront, Zona Alta or Les Corts) and a rough budget, and we'll come back with options for that night. If the group only wants to get in, not a table, our guest list guide explains how lists work, and the guide to what a night out costs gives the 'from' prices published in October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Do Barcelona clubs let in hen and stag groups?

None of the clubs we checked publishes a ban on hen or stag groups. Admission is set by each venue on a stamped sign at the door (Decree 112/2010, arts. 50–51), and booking a table in advance is the most reliable way to get a group in together.

How much is a VIP table in Barcelona?

No club we checked publishes its table minimums. Bling Bling, ShĂ´ko, Otto Zutz, Downtown, Colors and Sutton take table requests by phone or WhatsApp, and the price depends on the night, the table and the number of people, so ask before you go.

Can we wear costumes or matching T-shirts?

No club publishes a rule on costumes or hen-party accessories. The door decides on the night, under the admission conditions posted at the entrance; if a costume matters to you, ask when you book the table.

Can we have dinner and stay for the party?

Yes. CDLC on the seafront is a restaurant and club whose kitchen runs until 01:00, ShĂ´ko describes itself as a beach restaurant and lounge club, Gatsby on Carrer de Tuset combines dinner, a show and a club, and NOXE, on the 26th floor of the W hotel, is restaurant, cocktail bar and club.

Can we celebrate a birthday with a cake?

No club publishes a rule on cakes or bringing your own decorations. It is something to agree when booking the table: tell us the date and the group and we'll ask.
