Guest Lists in Barcelona Clubs: How They Work and What You Get
· Updated:
A guest list at a club in Barcelona is a list of names that gets you in for free or at a reduced price until a set time, usually between 01:00 and 02:30. It isn't a ticket and it doesn't skip the door: age, original ID, dress code and capacity still apply, according to the lists published for the week of 19 October 2026 and the clubs' own entry rules.
Lists are how most commercial clubs in Barcelona fill the room early. The club wants people inside before 01:00 or 01:30, when the room starts to fill; you want to get in for less. That's the deal, and it explains the three things that catch people out: the time limit, the fact that a list can be free one week and paid the next, and that the door still decides.
Quick answer: example lists, week of 19 October 2026
| Day | Club | What the list gave | Valid until | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Opium, Ku, Jamboree | Free entry | 01:30 | Lists published for that week |
| Wednesday | Bling Bling | Free entry | 01:30 | Lists published for that week |
| Wednesday | City Hall | Tech House Session with guest list | Not stated | Ticketing page, 21 Oct |
| Saturday | La Fira Villarroel | Free List night | Not stated | Its ticketing page, 24 Oct |
| Saturday | La Biblio | Free entry | 01:00 | Lists published for that week |
| Saturday | Downtown | List, 19+ | 01:15 | Lists published for that week |
| Sunday | Ku | Free entry (techno night) | 01:00 | Lists published for that week |
| Sat 31 Oct | Ku (Halloween) | Access | 02:30 | Halloween listings, Oct 2026 |
Read the table as a sample, not a promise. These were the conditions published for one week; next week the same club may move the time, put a price on the list or drop it for a special night. That's why we confirm the details on the day.
List or ticket?
A list is worth it on a normal night when you can arrive early. On big nights a ticket is often the safer bet: with a known DJ, on Halloween or on New Year's Eve the clubs tend to drop or shorten the list, and the cheapest ticket releases sell out first. For La Terrrazza's Halloween 2026, the first three releases were sold out by 18 October. If you can't get there before the list time, a ticket also saves you a long wait at the door.

Until what time a list is valid
The time on the list is the time you have to be at the door, not the time you join the queue. On a busy Saturday on the seafront or in Tuset the queue can take a while, so arrive early. Most lists we've seen end between 01:00 and 01:30; special nights sometimes extend it, like Ku's Halloween list, which allowed access until 02:30. After the time, you pay the door price of the night. Keep in mind that clubs normally close at 05:00 during the week and 06:00 on Fridays and Saturdays under the Catalan rules, and once closing time arrives nobody else gets in.
Does it include a drink?
Sometimes, and it's always stated. Some lists include a drink if you arrive before a set time (one of La Biblio's Halloween options had a drink before 01:00); most of the lists in the table above only gave entry. When there's a drink, it usually comes with the earliest time slot. We'll tell you before you go, so there are no surprises at the bar.
The door still decides: age, ID and dress code
Being on the list doesn't change the entry rules. Under Decree 112/2010 (articles 50 and 51), each club can set its own admission conditions, as long as they are objective, not discriminatory and shown on a stamped sign at the entrance; if you think one was applied unfairly, you can file a complaint (article 54). In practice that means the age of the night (18+ in most clubs, 21+ or more on some nights), an original ID (Twenties, for example, says photos and copies aren't accepted) and the dress code: Twenties limits entry in sportswear and trainers. And if the room is full, the door closes for everyone.

Free entry without a list
Some places are free without any list. Marula Café, on Carrer dels Escudellers in the Gothic Quarter, says on its website that entry is free until capacity on certain nights, and its Thursday jam is free from 22:30 to 23:00. Tibu-Ron, the beach club in Castelldefels, advertised free entry for its Friday and Saturday parties on 23 and 24 October 2026, and for Halloween it says no list and no ticket. In the Gaixample, Time Out notes that Arena Experience gives free entry with the flyers handed out in the area's bars, and Punto BCN, a bar on Carrer de Muntaner, mentions invitations to Arena and Safari in its bio.

How it works with us
- Message us on WhatsApp with the club (or the type of night you want), the date and how many of you there are.
- We tell you whether there's a list that night, until what time it's valid, what it includes and the age and dress code of the night.
- If it works for you, send us the names. We confirm by message when you're on the list.
- On the night, arrive before the time on the list, say you're on it and show your original ID.
- If you'd rather have a table, we tell you the options and the minimum spend for that night.
One piece of common sense: a list is confirmed in writing, by the club or by whoever manages it for you. Be wary of anyone asking for money in the street to put you on a list with nothing in writing.

Is the guest list free?
Sometimes. Some lists give free entry until a set time, others a reduced price, and the same club can change from one week to the next. The week of 19 October 2026, for example, the Sunday list at Ku was free until 01:00. Before confirming, we tell you exactly what the list includes that night.
Until what time is a guest list valid?
It depends on the club and the night, but usually between 01:00 and 02:30. In the week of 19 October 2026 the Monday lists at Opium, Ku and Jamboree ran until 01:30, Downtown's Saturday list until 01:15, and Ku's Halloween list allowed access until 02:30. After that time you pay the door price.
Can I bring friends?
Yes, but every name goes on the list. When you message us, tell us how many you are and send the names; each person shows their own ID at the door.
Can I be turned away even if I'm on the list?
Yes. The list doesn't replace the club's admission rules: age, original ID, dress code and capacity still apply. Catalan law lets each club set its conditions as long as they are objective, not discriminatory and posted at the door on a stamped sign.
How do I get on a guest list in Barcelona?
Message us on WhatsApp with the club, the night and the number of people. We'll tell you whether there's a list that night, until what time it's valid and what it includes, and we'll confirm when you're on it.
