Day Parties in Barcelona: Tardeo, Afternoon Sessions and Where to Go

Tardeo in Barcelona means Saturday afternoon sessions from 18:00 to around 23:30 at clubs like Sutton, La Biblio, La Fira Casanova, Luz de Gas and Sala Plataforma, with more out of town at Malalts de Festa (Cornellà) and La Píkkara (Barberà del Vallès), which also does Sundays.

Catalan rules let nightclubs open from 17:00, and more and more clubs use that window for an afternoon party that ends before the night session starts. The music leans towards throwbacks and commercial hits, and you're home by midnight. The table shows what the clubs published for Saturday 24 October 2026; sessions change, so check the week you go.

Saturday in the Zona Alta

Carrer de Tuset has two tardeos a few doors apart. Sutton's Tardetazo runs from 18:00 to 23:45 and La Biblio's Tardeo Cool from 18:00 to 23:30, both before the clubs reopen for the night. Bling Bling also runs a Saturday afternoon session. On Muntaner, Luz de Gas calls its Saturday afternoon La Sobremesa (18:00 to 23:30), with throwbacks from the 80s to the 2000s, and on special dates it hosts guest sessions that go up to 23+.

Eixample, Poble-sec and Poblenou

La Fira Casanova's El Tardeo 90's runs from 18:00 to 23:00 and is already scheduled again for 5 and 19 December. Sala Plataforma, on Nou de la Rambla, launched its Super Tardeo on 27 September and runs Platardeo on Saturdays from 18:00 to 23:00. In Poblenou, Wolf calls its afternoon El Zorreo (18:00 to 23:30), 25+ on Halloween, and Boris in Sant Gervasi has a 21+ afternoon party called Funkey. Hyde Club, in the Eixample, also advertises afternoon sessions.

Outside the city: Cornellà, Barberà and Badalona

Some of the biggest afternoon sessions are in the metropolitan area. Malalts de Festa in Cornellà says it holds a tardeo every Saturday (18:00 to 23:00, 18+) and opened its season on 24 October with an 80s night. La Píkkara in Barberà del Vallès runs Guatekke on Saturdays and a Sunday tardeo from 17:00 to 23:00. Titus Carpa in Badalona does El Perkal on Saturday afternoons before its night sessions.

What music to expect

Most tardeos are throwback parties. La Fira Casanova plays 90s hits on regular Saturdays and went from the 70s to the 2000s on Halloween; Luz de Gas leans on 80s, 90s and 2000s hits, rock and Spanish pop; Sala Plataforma has played hits, rock and remember since 1986; and Malalts de Festa mixes 80s and 90s classics with old-school reggaeton and dembow. If you want something else, Boris, a house and afro house club, has its Funkey afternoon, Antilla is pure salsa, bachata and timba, and SeaSeaClub's weekend afternoons are electronic.

Sundays, salsa and the beach

Sunday afternoons are quieter. Antilla, a salsa club for more than 30 years, has moved its Sundays to Merecumbé Discoteca (Viladomat 211) since 18 October: salsa, bachata and timba from 18:00 to 23:00, with free classes and free entry with a compulsory drink, and Hyde Club holds a bachata and salsa Sunday with a class at 19:00. Luz de Gas has a football-and-party session on Sunday 25 October, from 17:00 to midnight. By the sea, SeaSeaClub at the Port Fòrum was still opening on weekend afternoons in October, from 13:00 on Sundays; the open-air season at La Terrrazza ends in October and returns in spring.

Age, prices and tardeo for over-40s

Tardeo isn't for teenagers: the sessions with a published age are 18+, and some go higher, like Wolf's El Zorreo (25+), Boris's Funkey (21+) or Luz de Gas's guest sessions (23+). On Halloween Saturday the afternoon sessions cost €10 to €12 with a drink (at Wolf and Luz de Gas, if you arrived before 19:00 or 19:30). For a 40+ night after the tardeo, Duvet on Còrsega opens on Saturdays from 23:30 with hits from the 80s to today.
