Going Out in Barcelona in Your 30s, 40s and 50s: Clubs and Early Parties
· Updated:
Going out in Barcelona past 30 or 40 is easier than the beach clubs suggest: Duvet runs a Saturday night it describes as 40+, Costa Breve's weekend nights are 21+, and several venues hold 80s and 90s afternoon parties on Saturdays that finish before midnight. Here is what each one published as of 21 October 2026.

Duvet: Saturday nights for a 40+ crowd
Duvet, at Carrer de Còrsega 327, is the only club in Barcelona that states its crowd plainly: its bio, in Catalan, promises Saturday nights from 23:30 to 05:00, a 40+ atmosphere and hits and classics from the 80s, 90s, 2000s and today. The listing for Saturday 24 October showed 23:30 to 04:00, so the closing time can move. It is a small place, and that is the point: you come for songs you know, not for a big-name DJ.

Costa Breve and the 21+ nights
Costa Breve, at Carrer d'Aribau 230, opens Wednesday to Saturday, and its Friday and Saturday parties were listed as 21+ in October 2026.

Remember, hits and 80s and 90s afternoons
Sala Plataforma, at Nou de la Rambla 145 in Poble-sec, calls itself 'Hits-Rock-Remember' and dates itself to 1986. La Fira Casanova runs a 90s afternoon party on Saturdays, and Malalts de Festa in CornellĂ opened its season of 80s afternoons on 24 October 2026.

Luz de Gas, at Carrer de Muntaner 246, is the other venue where the crowd has left student nights behind: a directory lists 80s, 90s and 2000s hits, rock and Spanish pop, and on Saturdays it runs 'La Sobremesa' from 18:00 to 23:30. If you'd rather start early and be home by midnight, our guide to Barcelona's afternoon parties covers every tardeo with its hours.

Dinner, live music and a club afterwards
Gatsby on Carrer de Tuset combines restaurant, live show and club from Wednesday to Saturday; Jamboree on Plaça Reial has live jazz before the club; and Magic Rock Club on Passeig de Picasso has been doing rock since 1972.

What we don't recommend
Disco Q in Pedralbes still appears in directories as a club for an older crowd, but we found no 2026 activity, so we don't list it.

Where do people in their 40s go out in Barcelona?
Duvet, at Carrer de Còrsega 327, is the clearest answer: it opens on Saturdays from 23:30 and describes its crowd as 40+, with hits and classics from the 80s to now. Saturday afternoon parties with 80s and 90s music, at Sala Plataforma, La Fira Casanova or Malalts de Festa, are the other big option.
Are there clubs for over-30s?
No venue publishes a 30+ rule, but Costa Breve's Friday and Saturday nights are 21+, and classic venues such as Luz de Gas, Otto Zutz and Sala Plataforma draw an older crowd than the student nights.
Where can I hear 80s and 90s music?
Duvet (Saturdays), Sala Plataforma ('Hits-Rock-Remember' since 1986), La Fira Casanova's '90s' afternoon party on Saturdays and the 80s afternoon party at Malalts de Festa in CornellĂ .
Is there anything for people in their 50s or 60s?
No Barcelona venue publishes a 50+ age rule. The closest are Duvet's 40+ Saturdays and the 80s afternoon parties, which start at 18:00 and finish before midnight.
Can we have dinner and stay to dance?
Yes. Gatsby, at Carrer de Tuset 19, combines restaurant, live show and club from Wednesday to Saturday, and Jamboree, on Plaça Reial, has live jazz before the club. Luz de Gas also hosts company dinners.
