Arena Experience Barcelona: What the LGBTQ+ Club Is Like, Night by Night

· Updated:

Arena Experience is an LGBTIQA+ nightclub at Ronda de Sant Pere 21, by Urquinaona in Barcelona, Spain, that opens every single night from 00:30 and runs until 5am, or 6am at weekends, with a different party for each day of the week.

A club that never takes a night off

Most Barcelona clubs open two or three nights a week. Arena is the exception: its Instagram bio reads “Every night 00:30h to 05/6h”, and its website says the doors open to the public every night. That makes it the obvious answer when you land on a Monday or a Tuesday and want to dance somewhere that is properly LGBTQ+ rather than “friendly”. It belongs to Grupo Arena, which, according to its own Instagram bio, also runs Safari Disco Club and the bar Punto BCN.

What's on each night

The club publishes a fixed weekly line-up on its website (October 2026). Names change now and then, so treat it as a guide to the mood of each night rather than a promise:

Music, rooms and the crowd

The website lists pop, hits, house, remixes, urban, R&B and petardeo, depending on the night. Time Out (July 2025) adds a lot of reggaeton, commercial pop and throwback anthems, and describes two rooms with their own personality, called Madre and Classic, plus VIP areas with table service. Do not confuse the Madre room with Arena Madre, the old club on Carrer de Balmes 32, which Time Out lists as closed. Expect drag shows, performances and themed nights on top of the DJs. The same Time Out review describes a crowd mostly in their twenties and early thirties, with locals, expats and tourists mixed together.

Getting in: price, flyers and age

Time Out put the door price at €20 including a drink in July 2025, and noted that free-entry flyers are sometimes handed out in the bars of the Gaixample, the LGBTQ+ stretch of the Eixample. Take that price as a guide, not a current rate. Tables are sold with a bottle, mixers and entry for five people, according to the club's website. On age, the venue does not publish a minimum on its website. Catalan law (Decree 112/2010) keeps under-16s out of clubs; above that, each venue sets its own rule, so carry ID with a photo and expect most nights to work as adult nights.

Getting there and getting home

Arena is on Ronda de Sant Pere, a few steps from Plaça d'Urquinaona, and the nearest metro is Urquinaona (L1 and L4). That is the easy part. Getting back is where you need a plan: the metro runs all night only from Saturday into Sunday; on Fridays and nights before holidays the last trains leave around 2am, and from Sunday to Thursday around midnight. The NitBus night buses run from 22:30 to 06:00 every 20 minutes, and almost all of them stop at Plaça de Catalunya, ten minutes' walk away. Catalan rules allow clubs to stay open until 5am, and until 6am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before holidays, which matches the hours Arena publishes.

Dates worth knowing

As of 21 October 2026, the club's website lists Halloween nights from 30 October to 1 November and a Christmas edition of Bombom on 18 December. If you are coming with a group, a birthday or a hen or stag party, a table is the simplest way to keep everyone together. Message us on WhatsApp with the night and the number of people and we will tell you what is on and how to get in.
