Barcelona Party Calendar 2026-27: Key Dates from Halloween to La Mercè
· Updated:
Barcelona's party calendar from now to September 2027 has four big blocks: Halloween (28 October to 1 November 2026), Christmas and New Year's Eve, when clubs can stay open until 07:30, the June festivals (Primavera Sound from 2 to 6 June and Sónar from 17 to 19 June 2027) and Sant Joan on the night of 23 June. La Mercè, Pride and the neighbourhood festes majors of 2027 have not been announced yet.
We mark every date with its status. Confirmed means the festival, the Generalitat or the club has published it. Not announced means we only know last year's date, which we give as a reference and nothing more. This page is reviewed every three months; between reviews, if you want to know what's on a particular weekend, ask us on WhatsApp.

Autumn 2026: Halloween and the long weekend that isn't
Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, and Barcelona's parties spread from Wednesday 28 October to Sunday 1 November. Some dates are already fixed: La Terrrazza, the open-air club in the Poble Espanyol that closed its season on 9 to 11 October, comes back for one night on 31 October with Club Inferno, from midnight to 06:00. SeaSeaClub at Port Fòrum has its Halloween that same Saturday, Tibu-Ron in Castelldefels throws a free party, and on Friday 30 October the Balla Barcelona Festival fills the Parc del Fòrum from 17:00 (18+, from €30). One detail to know: 1 November falls on a Sunday this year and Catalonia doesn't move it, so Monday 2 November is a normal working day.

Christmas and New Year's Eve: the longest nights
Opening hours in Catalonia are set by Order INT/358/2011 of the Generalitat. Clubs can normally stay open until 05:00, or 06:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a holiday. From 21 December to 6 January they get 45 extra minutes, and on New Year's Eve 90 extra minutes on top of their maximum. As 31 December 2026 is a Thursday and the eve of a holiday, that puts the limit at 07:30. As of 21 October, Ku (23:00 to 07:00), Sutton (00:00 to 07:00), Downtown (23:59 to 06:30), Opium (00:30 to 06:00) and Boris (01:00 to 06:00) already had New Year's Eve parties on sale. The Metro runs all night on 31 December, while on Christmas Eve it closes at 23:00. Other holidays to keep in mind: Tuesday 8 December, and 25 and 26 December.
New Year's Eve 2026 in Barcelona: parties and closing times →Winter and spring 2027: Carnival and Easter
Carnival 2027 runs from Dijous Gras on 4 February to Ash Wednesday on 10 February; Barcelona's parades had not been announced. The hours order also gives clubs 45 extra minutes from the Thursday to the Tuesday of Carnival and from the Thursday to the Monday of Easter. In 2027 Good Friday is 26 March and Easter Monday is 29 March, both public holidays in Catalonia under Order EMT/52/2026. In spring the open-air season starts: in 2026 La Terrrazza opened on 1 May; the 2027 date is not out yet.
June 2027: festivals and Sant Joan
June is the busiest month. Primavera Sound is from 2 to 6 June 2027 at the Parc del Fòrum, with a free opening day on 2 June and the main days from 3 to 5 June; its line-up was published on 5 October 2026. Sónar follows from 17 to 19 June 2027, according to its website, with the venue still to be announced; the OFF Week club parties around it, which in 2026 ran from 18 to 21 June, have no 2027 dates yet. Then comes Sant Joan, the night of 23 June, when the city goes to the beach and the Metro runs all night. 24 June 2027 is a Thursday and a public holiday. From 1 June to 15 September clubs can also close 45 minutes later.
Summer 2027: Cruïlla, Pride and Gràcia
Cruïlla is confirmed for 7 to 10 July 2027 at the Parc del Fòrum. Pride 2027 has no dates yet; in 2026 the parade was on Saturday 18 July, according to secondary sources. In August come the neighbourhood festes majors: Gràcia's ran from 15 to 21 August 2026 and Sants' at the end of August, with sources that disagree by one day. None of them has 2027 dates. We'll add each one when it is announced, not before.
September 2027: Diada, La Mercè and the new term
The Diada, Catalonia's national day, is a public holiday on Saturday 11 September 2027. La Mercè is the city's own festa major, around 24 September, Barcelona's local holiday: in 2026 it ran from 23 to 27 September with more than a hundred free concerts, and on the night of the 23rd the Metro didn't close. The 2027 dates and the second local holiday of Barcelona had not been published. September is also when students come back: in 2026 the UAB started on 7 September, the UB on 14 September and the UPF on 28 September, and that sets the pace of weeknights for the rest of autumn.
