What Colors Club Barcelona Is Like: The International Club on La Rambla

· Updated:

Colors Club is a nightclub at La Rambla 33, in Barcelona's old town, that opens Tuesday to Saturday and calls itself an 'international club'. Each night has its own party, with reggaeton, commercial hits and electronic music, an 18+ door and entry from about €7 to €20 (October 2026).

A club on La Rambla

La Rambla is the street every visitor walks down, and Colors is one of the few clubs right on it, at number 33. That tells you a lot about the crowd: international, mixed, lots of people on holiday or on exchange, and groups who want to go out without leaving the old town. Its Instagram bio sums it up in two lines, 'Tuesdays to Saturday' and 'International club'. Around it you have the rest of the old-town night: Jamboree in Plaça Reial, Marula on Carrer dels Escudellers and Macarena in the Gòtic. The square itself lost two classic clubs in 2026, Karma (which announced its closure on 12 March) and Sidecar, so the old town has fewer options than many guides from a few years ago suggest.

The nights, Tuesday to Saturday

The October 2026 listings gave each night a name: Tuesday 'Hype', Wednesday 'Impulse' (23:45 to 05:45), Thursday 'Blueflame', Friday 'Afrodita' and Saturday 'Unic'. Opening on a Tuesday is unusual in Barcelona, so Colors is one of the answers when you're looking for something early in the week. On top of the house parties, the club hosts guest collectives: in September and October 2026 its posts promoted Friday nights of afrobeats, amapiano and dancehall with African fashion and music collectives. The directory listings describe the regular sound as reggaeton, commercial and electronic.

Age, dress code and prices

Colors is 18+ according to its event listings, which is stricter than the legal minimum: in Catalonia the law keeps under-16s out of clubs (Decree 112/2010, art. 53) and lets each venue set a higher age. Bring a passport or ID. There's no written dress code; go out-ready rather than beach-ready. As a guide, in October 2026 entry ran from €7 to €20 depending on the night and the time, and the Wednesday 'Impulse' started at €15. VIP tables are booked separately. Ask us on WhatsApp for the night you want.

Colors and the other old-town clubs

If you're choosing between clubs in the old town, the difference is mostly the music. Colors is the commercial, international option, with reggaeton and hits most nights. Jamboree, in Plaça Reial, is a jazz club that becomes a hip hop, R&B and dancehall club after midnight (18+, €12 to €15 in October 2026). Marula, on Carrer dels Escudellers, is funk, soul and afrobeat with live bands and jam sessions. Macarena, in the Gòtic, is a tiny electronic club. They're all within walking distance, so a lot of people start in one and finish in another.

What time it closes and getting home

The Wednesday party runs until 05:45, which fits the general rule for Catalan nightclubs: 5am, and up to 6am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a holiday (Order INT/358/2011). From La Rambla you can walk up to Plaça de Catalunya, where almost every night bus stops; NitBus runs every 20 minutes from 22:30 to 06:00, and the metro runs all night on Saturdays and until 2am on Fridays (AMB, TMB). From Tuesday to Thursday the metro closes around midnight.

Who it's for

Colors suits visitors and exchange students staying in the old town, groups that want reggaeton and hits midweek, and anyone curious about the afrobeats and amapiano nights.
