Its bio says it opens every day from 10:00 to 06:00: food and terrace by day, and from about midnight a club of around 500 people playing hip-hop, reggaeton, R&B and commercial hits, for over-18s.

Restaurant, terrace and club in one place

Shôko describes itself as a restaurant and club, with venues in Barcelona and Madrid. In Barcelona the day side is a restaurant with Mediterranean and Asian food, a chill-out area and a terrace looking out to sea, serving from breakfast to cocktails. The club side starts late, and Time Out's October 2026 guide talks about a sophisticated space with innovative decor, room for 500 people, a dance floor and occasional concerts. The Instagram bio calls it the '7th World's Best Club'; that is the venue's own claim, not a ranking we can check. In practice it's the most hip-hop and urban of the four seafront clubs (CDLC, Opium, Shôko and Ku), which is the main reason to choose it over its neighbours.

Hours and the nights of the week

The bio reads 'Open every day 10am–6am'. Within that, the club nights have names: 'Fucking Monday' on Mondays and 'Pure Shôko' on Saturdays, which is also the format of its Halloween party on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 23:45. On Sundays the guest-list agendas send people here for hip-hop and R&B, 18+. The website also sells one-off events, from an old-school reggaeton afternoon to pop parties and guest artists announced in the bio. Remember that the club part follows Catalan rules: until 05:00 on a weeknight and 06:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a holiday.

Music and crowd

Time Out sums up the music as 'from hip hop, trap and drill to reggaeton, dance and R&B', and directories add commercial hits. The crowd mixes visitors and Barcelona locals who come specifically for the urban sound. If you want house or EDM, Opium next door is the better fit.

Age and dress code

Directories list Shôko as 18+, so bring photo ID. Unlike Opium, Shôko doesn't publish a written dress code on its website, and we haven't found the rule from the venue itself. Third-party guides all point the same way: dress smart. A shirt or a smart top, long trousers or a dress and proper shoes are the safe choice for men and women; shorts, flip-flops and sportswear are a risk at any seafront club in Barcelona. Whether men can wear shorts depends on the door that night, so don't count on it.

Prices and getting there

Directories put a regular night at around €15 to €25 in October 2026 (guide price); the venue sells its own event tickets and handles VIP tables by WhatsApp. The nearest metro is Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica (L4). Going home, the metro only runs all night on Saturdays; the rest of the week, the NitBus runs every 20 minutes until 06:00.
